Peter Brown Joins Butterball, LLC as Chief Operating Officer

Garner, N.C. – Butterball, LLC is pleased to announce the hiring of Peter Brown as its chief operating officer (COO). Brown brings to Butterball more than 30 years of executive leadership experience from many different levels of procurement, manufacturing, commercial distribution, and customer support, within varying protein types in both the retail and foodservice marketplaces.

As COO, Brown will work collaboratively to drive results and have direct responsibility for company operations across Butterball’s six turkey processing facilities and all operational support functions. He will focus on aligning Butterball’s operations’ strategy with strategic company priorities, all driven by customer and marketplace needs. Brown will also be an executive champion in driving Butterball’s culture of continuous improvement.

Prior to joining Butterball, Brown held various leadership positions in operations and sales during his career in the protein industry. Most recently, he was president and chief operating officer at High Liner Foods, a global seafood company based in New Hampshire.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Science in food science from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California. In addition, he is a member of various industry boards and organizations supporting sustainability, regulatory and legislative initiatives.
