Sam Kane Beef Processors, LLC’s plant in Corpus Christi has a new owner.
The JDH Capital Co., of Houston, emerged Friday as the winner of the troubled beef plant’s court-approved bankruptcy auction.
Under the terms of the transaction, JDH said in a statement it intends to acquire “substantially all the operating assets of Kane Beef.” It also plans to make “meaningful investments in the processing plant and will continue to operate the business as a going concern,” the statement said.
