FOWLER, Calif. – For the third consecutive year, Bee Sweet Citrus will be sponsoring Fowler’s annual community fun run.
“For three years, Bee Sweet Citrus has enjoyed assisting the Fowler High School Cross Country team in hosting the community’s annual fun run,” said Bee Sweet Citrus Director of Communications Monique Bienvenue. “Not only does this event benefit Fowler’s cross-country program, it brings the community together, promotes an active lifestyle and kicks off the community’s fall festival. It’s such a fun event!”
After a five-year hiatus, Bee Sweet Citrus joined forces with Fowler Cross Country Coach Jayleen Budwig to bring back the beloved race in 2016. Since then, the race has grown to become the festival’s annual kick-off event, and acts as a time trial for Fowler’s local cross-country runners.
“The fun run is amazing event and really brings out Fowler’s small-town charm,” stated Budwig. “With Bee Sweet’s help, we’ve seen the number of participants grow over the past three years, and we are hoping that continues this year as well.”
The two-mile run/walk event is scheduled for Saturday, October 6, at Panzak Park in Fowler, California. Online registration and same day registration are available, and registration is $20 for all participants. Proceeds for this event go towards benefiting the 2018 Fowler High School Cross Country team.
