Brothers Produce Expand its Cold Storage Offerings

Brothers Produce, established in Houston in 1985, is proud to announce its expanding its line of cold storage services. Houston Cold Storage, the cold storage division of Brothers Produce, was established in 2016. We have quickly seen the Houston Cold Storage brand evolve and flourish the way the Brothers Produce brand has over the years, says Brent Erenwert, CEO of Houston Cold Storage and Brothers Produce. “Companies die, and brands live forever,” Erenwert said. This lesson was very prevalent in the last 18 months. It is an evolve-or-die kind of world, no matter what industry. Houston Cold Storage started as a primarily produce-based cold storage operation, but 2020 was all about the importance of the last mile opening up several new opportunities. This year was an extreme growth year for the division, but it also laid the groundwork to pave the way for the future of our cold storage division. We found ourselves getting into more and more items helping other brands complete their last mile. The most significant segments we saw growth and opportunity in were beverages, proteins, floral, ice cream, and several other retail-based items. The last mile, as we saw in 2020 and still today, is broken. We have all the tools, vision, and dedication to not only be the bridge in these times but be a long-term last-mile management solution needed for the long haul.

Effective immediately, Houston Cold Storage will begin offering our new last-mile solution services. This new line of services, as mentioned above, will focus on helping hundreds of brands across the supply chain reach their final destinations, thus executing their last mile. The last mile is the most critical in the race; without it, the product sits dormant. “In a world where 5g is replacing 3g we feel we believe we are bringing a 5pl service to a 3pl sector”, Erenwert said. The network and partnerships we have built throughout our history enable us to be an all-in-one solution to emerging or existing brands. The last-mile is a term used in supply chain management and transportation planning to describe the last leg of a journey comprising the movement of people and goods from a transportation hub to a final destination. Brent Erenwert, says repeatedly. “The last mile wins the race. Without it, you are still holding a product with no buyers.”

We have you covered from all facets of the supply chain, from the inbound freight, the outbound freight, the customer’s door, marketing of the product, selling the product, and even putting the products on the retail shelves. We feel the solutions we offer will help brands shift their focus to growing their sales and away from worrying about storage and distribution.

With multiple temperature zones, a fleet of over 120 trucks, multiple cross docks, as well as national partners, we can now not only assist our market, but the national level as well. We are currently taking on new affiliates across the United States to be a part of our storage network.

If you are interested in learning how to become an affiliate partner, please email the address below. We will send you the forms we are looking for to see if you qualify.

The list below is just a few of the unique tasks we are currently performing, and the “*” ones are new services now offered. We can assist with anything that complies with our food safety guidelines.
