California Giant Cycling Competes In Cyclo-Cross National Championships

The largest-ever USA Cycling Cyclo-cross National Championships took place Dec. 10-13 in the heart of Bend, Oregons Old Mill District. Over 1,600 unique riders made over 2,000 starts and competed for the Stars-and-Stripes across 30 age and ability categories. The sports top stars were among those on hand competing for ultimate bragging rights in the Dec. 13 elite finale. Thousands of fans turned out for the epic event and were not disappointed at the competition and ultimate championships gained.

California Giant Cycling made an extremely strong appearance in several divisions and finished on the podium every step of the way.

California Giant Cycling sent 15 team members to the event in Bend, OR and was proud to see that seven achieved podium appearances during the weekend.

As a result of the season long accomplishments by team members, two of California Giant Cyclings best will be representing the United States in races across the Atlantic in three European countries. Cody Kaiser will be racing in the junior men Race and Meredith Miller will be competing in the Elite Women Race beginning in mid- January. They will both compete in World Cup UCI* races in Roubaix, France, then off to Hoogerheide, Netherlands, and finally traveling to the Cyclocross World Championships the first of February in Tabor, Czech Republic.

California Giant has consistently had representation in the Worlds competition resulting in several champions over the years.
