California Giant Foundation Taps Into Jazz Apples Chef To Support Tour de Fresh At United FreshMKT Expo

Watsonville, CA – California Giant Berry Farms and the company Foundation is welcoming chef, and television personality, Adam Glick in the 5th annual Tour de Fresh portion of their booth during the upcoming United Fresh Convention in Chicago later this month.  In return, Jazz™ Apples is sponsoring an industrywide fundraiser providing Tour de Fresh supporters a chance to win a prestigious and delicious prize from chef Glick.

Adam Glick is often recognized for starring in Bravo TV’s Below Deck: Mediterranean, and he has a large and enthusiastic social following.  He is passionate about promoting fresh produce and in working with Jazz™ is now passionate about supporting the cause behind Tour de Fresh. He will be representing JAZZ™ apples as a featured chef in the Culinary Showcase during the United FreshMKT Expo and in his spare time at the show will be encouraging attendees to donate at least $25 to the 5th Annual Tour de Fresh ride taking place in late July.

Donations of $25 or more during the show dates of June 25-27, 2018 will be entered in a contest for a chance to win a private dinner for 6 hosted and prepared by Chef Adam, valued at $1000. Location and timing of the dinner will be coordinated directly with the winner. Only those who donate a minimum of $25 to a TDF rider during the show and who live in the continental US (lower 48) will be eligible to win.  For those contributors attending the show, donations can be made at the California Giant Berry Farms booth #1236 or online at Tour de Fresh

"JAZZ™ and Chef Adam are huge supporters of the Tour de Fresh's mission to increase children's access to fresh fruits and vegetables, so we're excited to raise funds for this terrific cause while rewarding all donors with an always refreshing JAZZ™ apple and the raffle winner with an up close and personal JAZZ™ lifestyle experience," says Brock Nemecek, North American marketing manager for brand owner T&G Global.

“We are so happy to help spread the word about this promotion offered by Jazz™ and Chef Adam Glick as a perfect example of how sponsors of Tour de Fresh can take ownership of the event each year and help support the riders in their fundraising efforts.  We get so excited when Tour de Fresh sponsors find new and unique ways to promote their riders, their brand and ultimately the cause for Salad Bars for Schools”, says Cindy Jewell, VP of Marketing for California Giant.
