Fowler Farms Appoints Food Safety Manager

Fowler Farms is pleased to announce that Edith Skellie has joined the company as a Food Safety manager reporting to JD Fowler. Edith is a recent Cornell Graduate from Newark NY. having grown up on a dairy farm she is familiar with operations in and around a farm. She spent two summers during her college years scouting orchards and recording diseases and pests to help farmers get out in front and diagnose problems before reaching a critical point in the growing cycle. She is enthusiastic about food safety and feels it is critical to maintaining a fresh supply of healthy fruit and fruit products to consumers.
Her duties will encompass maintaining proper regulatory protocols, documenting, monitoring and collecting data from trials and experiments to improve growing conditions.
Her sphere of influence will reach from in the orchard and throughout all facilities and grounds that Fowler Farms operates.
