Hudson River Fruit Distributors Recognizes Pat Ferrara

Hudson River Fruit Distributors is happy to recognize and celebrate the 15 years of exceptional sales and service of Pat Ferrara.

Pat joined HRFD in 2003 and manages all domestic sales accounts, food shows, promotions, and sales orders. Pat has been in the produce industry for 40+ years, working in both wholesale and retail. He has worked his way up the levels and transformed himself into an integral piece of the industry.  

He started off his career at age 14, picking “drop” apples for a local farmer for 5cents a box. From there, he became a produce clerk at food fair supermarkets at the age of 16. Working there through college was a great opportunity for Pat to absorb all the knowledge of produce that would take him through life.  Through hard work and perseverance, after college he was able to become a partner in a farmers market in the Hudson valley farm for the next 10 years.  He then joined the Bozzuto’s team in 1983, where he acted as a produce merchandiser for the next 17 years.

He is a dedicated employee whose ties and interests are deeply rooted in the produce industry.
