JP Dulcich And Sons Upgrades Packaging

It may be JP Dulcich and Sons’ 50th Anniversary this year, but it’s their retail partners that are receiving the presents this fall in the form of increased merchandising efforts.

This year, JP Dulcich and Sons has made it a priority to focus on creating a quality, seamless look and feel for all of their table grape products, starting with their new beautifully designed and illustrated Pretty Lady and Harvest Hobgoblin bags. Not only are these beautiful new bags lovely to look at, with their colorful, illustrated elements prominently featured, but they’re incredibly functional for both the retailer and the consumer. Knowing that everyone’s looking to save time and space, these new bag designs do both. With expertly placed holes for perfect drainage, they act as a ready-to-use colander! All the consumer has to do is open the top, run under the kitchen faucet, and set aside to dry for a minute or so. And with their flat bottom design, these bags sit upright for easy, space-saving refrigerator storage. Retailers will also appreciate this feature, as they readily sit up on their own without falling over, resulting in an attractive display.

In addition to the new bag design, signage danglers will also be made available to the retailers to help promote fall sales. And finally, newly designed, brightly colored Dulcich Pretty Lady bins are being shipped directly to their retail partners’ distribution centers. Working in tandem, the new bags sit perfectly into the top of these free-standing bins and are color coordinated to make a striking display that’s sure to catch the customer’s attention. Plus, these long-lasting bins include a durable, plastic rolling bottom for easy mobility and cleaning, which means they can be used again and again to promote grape sales.

It’s fitting that these new merchandising products would come out during the Dulcich’s 50th Anniversary year, because presenting a premium brand look has been part of the company’s mission since its founding. Just as when Jakov P. Dulcich and his wife Antoinette emigrated from Croatia to Delano, California in 1960 with dreams of growing the very best produce and marketing them to the world, today their commitment to their retail partners is still front and center as part of the company culture. Still a family owned and operated business, as shown by their oldest son Peter managing the farm operations and their youngest son Nick leading the sales arm of the business; all are heavily committed to maintaining the standard of excellence that has made their premium grapes preferred by discriminating buyers everywhere.

“It seems like it was just yesterday, but I’m exceedingly proud of the business my family and I have built over the last half century,” says Jakov Dulcich, who can still be found overseeing the daily operations. “Delivering the finest table grapes in the world is a responsibility we have always taken to heart, and it’s our goal to continue this tradition of quality for the next 50 years.”

Located in the San Joaquin Valley, the Dulcich’s pristine vineyards are all located within a short distance from their state-of-the-art facility in Delano, California. With 3,000 acres of multiple varieties of table grapes, they offer a large line of red, green and black varietals to discriminating retailers and consumers. Under the name of Sunlight International Sales Inc., the marketing arm of JP Dulcich and Sons, they ship their premium Pretty Lady and Sunlight table grapes worldwide, including to such countries as Taiwan, Thailand, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, New Zealand, Russia, Dubai, India, Mexico and Canada, as well as throughout the United States.
