Every day is Earth Day at Mucci Pac, but theyll be putting a special emphasis on April 22 this year. In honour of Earth Day and their Earth Day Every Day identity, the greenhouse vegetable marketing company will donate 10 cents for every case sold on April 22nd. Encouraging their customers to offer extra business on that date, their sales team will be working the phones to promote the cause and boost their donation.
Like many others in our industry, our greenhouses are naturally earth friendly, says Joe Spano, director of Sales and Marketing. Weve added this program to push us even farther, to encourage us to go beyond the easy status quo and actively make changes. Were currently in the process of converting all gas-operated machines to electric power and making all of our packaging sustainable.
Money raised on April 22 will be donated to the David Suzuki Foundation, an organization dedicated to protecting the diversity of nature and our quality of life. The David Suzuki Foundation works with government, business, and individuals to conserve our environment by providing science-based education, advocacy and policy work, and acting as a catalyst for the social change that our natural world demands.
Mucci Pac is encouraging other organizations to lend their support on Earth Day with their own corporate commitments.
