Coral Gables, Florida – For the fourth consecutive year, Turbana has partnered with the Marathon Oasis of Montreal, which is a part of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon series, as the official banana sponsor. The marathon, that will be held on Sunday, September 28, encourages participants to raise funds for a charity of their choice. Turbana will donate 46,000 bananas to runners and volunteers at the race, which is mapped out through the core of the city.
“Turbana is excited to once again be the banana that will fuel runners,” says Marion Tabard, director of marketing at Turbana. “Turbana is proud to be an active part of the Montreal community and we are happy to be able to give back and support the runners again.”
Over the past three years Turbana has fueled more than 120,000 athletes with over 130,000 Turbana bananas after they complete the Marathon Oasis of Montreal. Turbana’s participation year after year is one of the ways the company is propelling its “Growing Smiles, Sharing Goodness” movement forward. The movement seeks to inspire individuals to eat smart, be active and get involved in their communities. The Marathon Oasis of Montreal aligns perfectly with Turbana’s movement, making the partnership a great way to continue “Growing Smiles, Sharing Goodness” among the Montreal community.
