Charlie Bassett Named President And CEO Of Bassett’s Market

At a ceremony celebrating Bassett’s Market winning the Ohio Grocers Association’s Pinnacle Award, owner Mike Bassett announced his retirement. His son, Charlie Bassett, will now be President and CEO of Bassett’s Market.
In addition to the above announcement, Mike Bassett also gave a speech about his career and thanking the many people who helped shaped him to be the great man he is today.
In attendance at the ceremony were elected officials, current and former employees, and loyal customers.
“It is my distinct honor to award Bassett’s Market as our 2016 Pinnacle Award winner,” said Kristin Mullins, President/CEO of OGA. “The Bassett family and their loyal employees have a long record of serving the communities of Port Clinton and Bellevue are most deserving of the Ohio Grocers Association’s highest honor.”
