Economic Development Authority Could Bring Jobs To Camden, Glassboro

TRENTON – A Pennsylvania-based food distributor is considering a plan to bring 251 jobs to East Camden, according to the state Economic Development Authority.

The EDA on Tuesday approved $52.4 million in tax breaks for the proposed project by Benjamin Foods LLC, a wholesale distributor with headquarters in the Philadelphia suburb of Hatboro.

Separately, the authority backed incentives worth $5.4 million for a firm considering relocation to a Glassboro site that once held a troubled housing project.
