First Lidl Store Opens in Central Pennsylvania

It was worth the wait for 99 cent pineapples, buy-one-get-one 50 percent off baked goods and $2.99 brie.

And more importantly, a peek inside central Pennsylvania’s newest grocery store.

On Wednesday morning, a crowd of more than 150 people lined up outside a new Lidl store at 980 S. Richland Avenue in York County as DJ music thumped in the parking lot. Some filed into line as early as 4 a.m. for a chance to receive $100 gift cards.
