Golbon is also pleased to announce the addition of Sanwa Food Group located in Tampa, FL.
Sanwa Food Group has been serving the Florida and Georgia markets since 1981. The Leung family started as a cash & carry operation and expanded into foodservice distribution over the past 10 years. Sanwa now has two facilities in Tampa, one in Sanford, Florida (Orlando area) and one in Atlanta. Most of the category sales are within produce (50%), meat and seafood (30%) with grocery and non-food making up 20% of sales. The Sanwa team has 240 employees operating the four locations and protein processing facilities. Owner, Wes Pinkerton purchased the business from the Leung family several years ago and their son, Wesley Leung maintains his role as Director of Purchasing. They are very excited to be joining the Golbon family and look forward to partnered growth with us and our vendor partners.
