Boise, Idaho – One hundred attendees joined Golbon in Miami, Florida for the Premier Club trip, January 12-15, 2018. This annual incentive trip rewards and recognizes top distributor members’ sales and merchandising associates.
Saturday’s Awards Banquet celebrated Golbon Premier Club winners in both the Sales and Merchandising Excellence categories, with special recognition going to the two National Winners from both categories. These “best-of-the-best” were selected from a group of several hundred DSR’s and merchandisers within the Golbon group. Our winners truly exemplify the commitment to hard work and success that come with such recognition. Congratulations to:
National Sales Excellence Winner – Curtis Cook, Capitol Distributing, Meridian, ID
National Merchandising Excellence Winner – Sam Perri, Get Fresh Produce, Inc., Bartlett, IL
Sam Perri, Golbon’s 2017 National Excellence Merchandising Winner is a great example of the young talent found in the industry today. A key leader at Get Fresh Produce, Sam heads up all the purchasing for non-produce at Get Fresh, and manages all new items and new vendors. He has increased his category profit margins by 5% and has been instrumental in growing Golbon supplier purchases at Get Fresh.
Curtis Cook, Golbon’s 2017 National Sales Excellence Winner is a foodservice MVP. Having joined Capitol Distributing just two years ago as a sales consultant, he has hauled in 90 new accounts, and grown his territory by 135%! His new business alone represented half of the total company’s sales growth in 2017. In fact, Capitol had to hire two additional reps just to support the new business that Curtis opened.
