Harris Teeter Confirms Closing, Reopening Dates For Stores Bought From Piggly Wiggly

Harris Teeter on Friday confirmed the closing and reopening dates for the stores it is acquiring from Piggly Wiggly Carolina Co. in the Charleston area.

The stores will begin closing Saturday and continue to close over the next week for the transition to the buyer’s brand.

The changeover period includes stocking and training employees. Pharmacies at the affected stores will remain open.

Any dairy products as well as select frozen, grocery and non-food items remaining in the stores when they close will be donated to Lowcountry Food Bank.
