As VP of Sales, Karssiens will develop and execute a commercial strategy to achieve core growth and expand new business opportunities. To achieve these outcomes, Karssiens will establish performance conditions to drive a sales culture that delivers repeatable successes over time. He will be instrumental in sales funnel management, key account planning and 80/20 business processes. 

Karssiens is an active member of the Standex Refrigerated Solutions Group Leadership Team, and he will collaborate with other functional leaders of the Standex Food Service Equipment Group as needed to help drive group level initiatives. 

Karssiens has been in the foodservice industry his entire career including the last 18 years with Enodis, Manitowoc and Welbilt. 

Before joining Master-Bilt, he successfully guided multiple teams as a senior leader while achieving significant shareholder value improvement both in the United States and while serving as Managing Director in Asia Pacific for seven years.

M2 Reps will be representing Master-Bilt in the MAFSI 4 Region, serving eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware. 

M2 Reps is a new agency formed by company president Mike Garfinkle and his business partner and son, Mory Garfinkle.

When asked about how they will benefit Master-Bilt in serving their needs in the region, Mike replied, “The relationships we have in our market, with dealers who distribute the products and the end users of the products, will benefit Master-Bilt with deeper market penetration and coverage.”

Mike has experience in distribution, restaurant design, purchasing, installation, buying group affiliations and as a manufacturer’s representative. He started his career as a partner and operator of MarCo Restaurant and Bar Supply, which he ran for 28 years. He sold MarCo to Benjamin Foods in 2010, where he served as the Vice President of Equipment & Supplies. He later joined 4 Star Representatives in 2012 before becoming a partner in 2013.

Mory Garfinkle started by working in the family business at MarCo Restaurant and Bar Supply while in high school and college. After graduating, he went on to work for Bonsall Bat Company as a manufacturer’s rep. He later became an integral member of 4 Star Representatives in 2014 focusing mainly on the education segment and dealer relationships, before becoming a partner at M2 Reps.
