New Sirman Potato Peelers From Foodservice Equipment Marketing

With the emphasis on fresh, locally-sourced food, caterers are finding they are under increasing pressure in the vegetable prep department. Foodservice Equipment Marketing’s (FEM) new Sirman potato peelers are capable of handling up to 10kg of potatoes at a time, to keep the kitchen supplied with a constant supply of freshly peeled spuds.

Made from heavy-duty stainless steel with a self tensioning poli-V belt drive and high efficiency ventilated motors, the peelers are built for continuous operation. An automatic unloading system further speeds up the prep times. Their sturdy construction means the peelers are suitable for high volume applications.

For ease of cleaning the bowl is removable and dishwasher safe as is the peeling disc, located at the bottom of the machine. The peeler’s design means access to all components is simple, providing easy servicing and prolonging machine life.

FEM supplies two models. The PPJ6 has a 6kg capacity and is powered by a 0.37kW motor. The PPJ10 can hold 10kg and has a 0.74kW power unit. Both models are covered with a one-year parts and labour warranty.
