Wegmans Food Markets Inc. is the recipient of the 2009 Corporate Stewardship Award awarded by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Business Civic Leadership Center.
Rochester-based Wegmans was presented with the honor Tuesday night at the 10th annual Corporate Citizenship Awards Dinner held at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce building in Washington, D.C.
Danny Wegman, chief executive officer of the family-owned grocery chain, accepted the award.
