BOSTON, MA – The Boston Fisheries Foundation (BFF) today announced that tickets are now on sale for the 8th annual Boston Seafood Festival occurring on Sunday, August 4th, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Held on Boston’s historic Fish Pier, the family-friendly festival will again bring a bounty of seafood, live music, cooking demonstrations from local chefs, children’s activities, and more to thousands of seafood lovers from around the region.

Tickets can be purchased at bostonseafoodfestival.org, and are $15 for adults, $5 for children aged six through 12, and free for children aged five and under. Tickets with access to the Lobster Bake provided by Gourmet Caterers are available for $53.

The Boston Seafood Festival is presented by the Boston Fisheries Foundation, and invites festival-goers to learn the stories of America’s oldest industry, and the people, practices, and innovations which help it thrive in one of the nation’s busiest seaports. Special events for the day include chef demonstrations from some of Boston’s best eateries, the Battle of the ShuckersOyster Shucking Competition, two Harpoon Brewery Beer Gardens, Fish Cutting demonstrations, and the all-day lobster bake overlooking Boston Harbor.

Some of Boston’s top seafood purveyors will sell New England seafood favorites (as well as non-seafood options), while musical performances, roving pirates, and all-day children’s activities presented by Save the Harbor/Save the Bay will fill the pier. For the fifth consecutive year, the Foundation will recognize its newest honoree to its BFF Seafood Hall of Fame at the event.

A portion of event proceeds support the Boston Fisheries Foundation, a non-profit organization created to preserve, sustain, and share the region’s seafood and maritime heritage. The Foundation is proud to present the Festival, and appreciative of the support from generous sponsors that include: Massport, Harpoon Brewery, F.J. O’Hara, Channel Fish, Stavis Seafoods, John Nagle Co., and more.
