Copper River Salmon Count Rises, But Dip-Net Fishery Remains Closed

FAIRBANKS—There's been a late season surge in red salmon swimming into the Copper River, but don't get out your dip net just yet.

There aren't immediate plans to reopen the personal use fishery at Chitina.
