Dot Foods Expands Seafood Offering Through Partnership With Trade Winds Food Group

MT.STERLING, Ill – Dot Foods, the nation's largest food redistributor, is expanding their seafood offering by partnering with Trade Winds Food Group (Trade Winds) to carry their high quality refrigerated crab meat and frozen seafood selections. The first Dot deliveries of Trade Winds seafood will begin on November 26, 2012.

"Trade Winds will provide our customers with a great offering of quality crab meat and seafood products," said Rodd Willis, director of protein sales and purchasing at Dot Foods. "Seafood is a segment of our business that we're excited to continue to expand and Trade Winds strengthens our already strong offering."

Customers can now order as little as one case of Trade Winds' seven assorted crab and fish offerings that Dot will carry within their Dot order, rather than having to meet required minimums of a direct order. Dot will carry "Classic" China, "Ocean Fresh" China, "Premium" Indonesia and "True Blue" Mexico crab in different variations, as well as Atlantic Salmon, Mahi-Mahi and Yellowfin Tuna fish combinations.

"This is a good opportunity to join a great program that can help us get our product to a broader range of customers," said David Fair, managing director at Trade Winds. "We feel that this gives our brand a great competitive edge."
