Fishpeople Seafood, a business tenant of the Port of Toledo for the past five years, will close their Toledo operations this month and has terminated its lease with the port.
Fishpeople Seafood executives offer their thanks to Toledo for incubating the company’s early growth and success, and made this explanation for the closure of the Toledo plant:
“Fishpeople was founded with the mission of changing our relationship with the sea and the seafood industry as a whole. We are extremely grateful to the Toledo community that played such a pivotal role in our early years and the launch of several of our ethically-sourced seafood products.
