BOSTON, MA – The 7th Annual Boston Seafood Festival is proud to announce its 2018 Schedule of Events, which presents more offerings and exhibits than ever before. The Festival will again take place on Sunday, August 5th, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Boston’s historic Fish Pier, and tickets are currently on sale at bostonseafoodfestival.org. General admission tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children aged six through 12, and free for children aged five and under.
Highlights for this year’s schedule include the popular Battle of the Shuckers oyster shucking competition, a Blessing of the Fleet, and fisherman and chef demonstrations throughout the day.
The Boston Seafood Festival is presented by the Boston Fisheries Foundation and features live music, exhibitions from the fishing industry, roving pirates, the Harpoon Brewery Beer Garden, and, with purchase of a ticket, the all-day lobster bake. Lobster bake tickets and VIP tickets are available via the event website.
The Festival has become a summertime favorite in Boston and educates the public about the fishing industry and the people, practices, and innovations which power one of the nation’s busiest seaports. Boston’s Fish Pier is one of the epicenters for the region’s fisheries, an industry which remains one of the region’s strongest.
A portion of all proceeds support the Boston Fisheries Foundation, a non-profit organization created to preserve, sustain, and share the region’s seafood and maritime heritage. The Boston Seafood Festival is managed and produced by Conventures, Boston’s leading events management and communications agency.
