Seafood Nutrition Partnership Announces Bitcoin Donation Method

ARLINGTON, VA – Seafood Nutrition Partnership (SNP) announced today that it is accepting Bitcoin donations through BitPay, the world’s leading Bitcoin payment processor. Donors will have the option to select Bitcoin, in addition to traditional payment methods, when they give through SeafoodNutrition.org/donate.

“Bitcoin is gaining recognition globally, so we are excited to offer this universal digital currency as an option for donors,” said Linda Cornish, president and founder of SNP. “By reducing fees for transactions, Bitcoin will also allow SNP to devote a greater percentage of donations towards helping more Americans finding a path to health through seafood nutrition.”

Bitcoin is a global payment network, and accepting it enables SNP to accept donations from anywhere in the world. Anyone with an Internet connection and a bitcoin digital wallet can donate bitcoin to SNP.

“With a mission to address America’s public health crisis through seafood nutrition, SNP has noted the benefits of Bitcoin as a donation method by prominent non-profit organizations,” Cornish added.

For donors, using bitcoin ensures that 100 percent of the funds donated go towards the non-profit mission of Seafood Nutrition Partnership (SNP), which is to address America’s public health crisis through seafood nutrition. SNP equips health and nutrition influencers and the general public on the important of eating a balanced diet with a focus on sustainable seafood.
