SeaShare, Hook Line and Savor Seafood Start-Up Announce Innovative Partnership

Seattle, WA – SeaShare, a non-profit dedicated to providing seafood to food banks, announced they have begun a strategic partnership with Hook Line and Savor, a frozen seafood start-up based in Gloucester, Massachusetts, and part of the Gorton’s Seafood family.

Through this new partnership, Hook Line and Savor will donate 5% of all profits from the sale of their new allergy-friendly frozen seafood line to SeaShare, to support the donation of seafood to food banks and feeding centers across the US.

Hook Line and Savor is committed to bringing delicious, sustainable, allergy-friendly seafood to America’s dinner tables and doing so with a commitment to improving the health of Americans who are struggling with hunger.

“SeaShare is proud to partner with Hook Line and Savor. We share a mission to provide nutritious seafood to more people across the country. Hook Line and Savor is giving back in a big way, and we are so thankful for their commitment to help SeaShare bring more seafood to food banks,” said Jim Harmon, Executive Director of SeaShare.

According to Frederica Turner, Founder of Hook Line and Savor, “Seafood is one of the most nutritious and healthy proteins, but it is also one of the most expensive.  For this reason, Hook Line and Savor is excited to support SeaShare’s mission to bring more seafood to food banks.  Everyone should be able to enjoy the great taste and nutritious benefits of seafood!”

SeaShare and Hook Line and Savor will be at the Natural Products Expo West food show in Anaheim, CA March 6-9. Hook Line and Savor products are currently on shelf in Kroger stores in the Midwest along the perimeter of the store by the fresh seafood counter and will be launching at select Wegmans stores in the gluten-free section starting in March, 2019.
