Agri-Mark’s Cabot Extra Sharp Vermont Cheddar earned the Chairman’s Award and the title of Best Cheddar at the National Milk Producers Federation’s (NMPF) Annual Cheese Contest held last month in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Co-operative earned an additional 13 awards, sweeping the Extra Sharp Cheddar, Sharp Cheddar, and the Natural Cheese Snack categories.

Bill Beaton Named CEO of Agri-Mark/Cabot

William “Bill” Beaton of Groveland, MA, is the new President and CEO of Agri-Mark/Cabot. Beaton’s appointment was approved by the Agri-Mark Board of Directors at their July 2019 meeting allowing for a seamless transition with the co-op’s former President and CEO Ed Townley, who retired this summer.

Dairy Co-Op To Impose Penalty On Farms That Make Too Much Milk

The Agri-Mark dairy co-op says that, starting in January, its 875 members will make less money if they produce too much milk. The Massachusetts-based Agri-Mark has about 170 farms in Vermont.
