Four New York dairy farmers – Elizabeth Maslyn of Hemdale Farms in Seneca Castle, N.Y.; Johanna Bossard of Barbland Dairy in Fabius, N.Y.; Val Lavigne of UNC Brock Farm in Schaghticoke, N.Y; and Cody Williams of Wil-Roc Farm in Kinderhook, N.Y – joined American Dairy Association North East for a “Milk to Metro” trip to New York City to observe how the milk they produce on the farm is used by urban consumers.

Six dairy farm families are featured in a campaign with American Dairy Association North East and Tops Friendly Markets in New York and Pennsylvania. The partnership is designed to build trust in dairy by connecting consumers with the dairy farmers who are producing the milk sold in local grocery stores.

Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program Announces College Scholarship

The Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program is offering a $3,000 scholarship to students with an interest in the dairy product marketing industry. Students must be enrolled in an accredited university or college in Pennsylvania or be a Pennsylvania resident. Applications are due by December 10.

More than 30,000 students recently tuned into American Dairy Association North East’s three live virtual farm tours and asked the host farmers nearly 500 questions in real time.
