Advertising Supports California Avocado Peak Season

The California Avocado Commission is extending its consumer advertising campaign, “The best avocados have California in them,” with new creative designs that playfully illustrate the California lifestyle, connecting the fruit with the locale.

California Avocado Season Approaches

Fall and winter weather events including heavy winds resulted in the slight forecast change, with the reduction occurring in the pre-season months. California avocado peak season is expected during a 15-week period from late April through August, with available volume before and after the peak period.

Every five years the California Department of Food and Agriculture holds a state-mandated referendum vote to provide California avocado growers the opportunity to determine whether the California Avocado Commission will be reapproved to continue for the next five years.
