California Giant Announces New Staff and New Roles

Tom Smith, the Director of Foodservice is taking on a new role as Director of Foodservice and Organics. A new hire for the company is Thomas Taggart starting on September 9, 2019 as the Senior Director of Operations. Thomas will be working closely with Juana Ramirez who was hired earlier this summer as the new Director of Supply Chain Management.

A Giant Team Effort Brings Strawberries to Costco’s First China Warehouse Club

Working together: a key component of California Giant’s strategic plan implemented over a year ago when COO, Joe Barsi began leading the company’s operations. This week, Costco Wholesale opened the doors to its first China warehouse club location, but not without fresh California Giant berries on display – a task accepted with diligence from the berry company.

California Giant Berry Farms hosted their 2ndannual Chef Invitational culinary competition on June 25th at Tehama Golf Club in Monterey, CA and a panel of chef judges chose the winner at the end of a 3 day event ending with a chef cook-off.
