The Chilean Cherry Committee Releases New Estimate

The Chilean Cherry Committee, which represents more than 85% of the volume of global Chilean cherry exports, released its second estimate for 2023-2024. The new estimate considers the impact of rains this season. The Committee forecasts global exports of 81,477,564 million boxes (5 kilos each), a decrease of 14.6% from their first estimate in October, and slightly lower (-1.89%) than last season’s total exports.

It’s a Cherry Good Time to Promote Cherries from Chile

Chile has shipped 58% more volume to the U.S. compared to the same time last year, and Chilean Cherry promotions have been in full swing since late December.  In addition to point-of-sale material, videos, new recipes, custom digital ads, and in-store merchandising support, the Committee has engaged in several new programs, including influencer marketing and TikTok.

Consumers can enjoy sweet, juicy cherries through February, thanks to Chile. Chilean cherry exports to the U.S. have doubled this season, and the Chilean Cherry Committee will continue to run both consumer and retail programs through February to drive awareness and sales.
