Chilean Citrus Committee Releases Revised Forecast

Following the recent frosts and rains in Chile, the Citrus Committee of the Chilean Fruit Exporters Association (ASOEX) has revised its export projections for the 2023/24 season. The Committee estimates that Chile will export 348,000 tons of citrus, 30% more than last year, but three percent lower than the previous estimate made in May of 2023. 

Chilean Kiwifruit Committee Launches 2023 Marketing Campaign for Green Kiwifruit

With more than 8,000 tons shipped to North America through Week 20, the Chilean Kiwifruit season is underway.  Retail promotions will kick off in mid-June and continue through August.

Chilean Citrus Season Has Arrived

The Citrus Committee of ASOEX has released its estimate for the 2023 season, projecting global exports of 345,000 tons.  This represents a significant increase across all categories from 2022, when Chile was negatively impacted by climatic factors, logistical issues and rising freight costs.  Citrus exports in 2022 were consequently down by 32%.

New Varieties to Account for More than 50% of Chile’s Table Grape Exports

Although slightly higher than December’s estimate, the new forecast shows a decrease of 8.9% from 2021/22. This is largely the result of varietal replacement within the table grape industry in Chile.

ASOEX Table Grape Committee Announces Strategic Plan and its First Estimate for the 2022/23 Season

The president of The Chilean Fruit Exporters Association, Iván Marambio, together with Ignacio Caballero, Coordinator of the Table Grape Committee and Director of Marketing of ASOEX, announced a strategic plan for the newly formed grape committee.  This is an important step in enhancing the competitiveness of Chile’s grape industry in international markets.
