FPFC Apprentices Participate in Industry Leadership Panel and Virtually Tour Raley’s Supermarkets and Duda Farm Fresh Foods

The Fresh Produce & Floral Council (FPFC) Apprentice Program continued its year of educational programming with a series of panels and virtual tours, aimed at broadening the class’ scope of the industry.

FPFC is Saddened by the loss of Harland Heath

Harland was one of the founding members of the Fresh Produce Council and served as its third president and was a lifetime member of the board of directors.

Fresh Produce & Floral Council Saddened By the Loss of Robert Glasser

On December 22, Robert R. Glasser died peacefully in his sleep. He was born November 20, 1933 in Los Angeles to Jacob and Rose Glasser. Bob lived life to the fullest: After graduating from UCLA and serving a two-year commitment with the US Army, first in in El Paso and then finishing in Hollywood, he joined his father in the family-owned food importing, processing, and distribution business, Torn & Glasser.

FPFC Apprentice Program Attends Virtual Tours at Pyramid Flowers and Pete’s/Hollandia Produce

The Fresh Produce & Floral Council’s 2020 Apprentice Class attended two tours in the last week to wrap-up the virtual tour sessions included in programming. On Tuesday, November 10th they attended a tour with Pyramid Flowers and on Tuesday, November 17th they attended a tour with Pete’s/Hollandia Produce.

FPFC to Introduce 2019 Board of Directors at Annual Dinner Dance

On January 26, 2019, the industry will gather for “A Greek Odyssey,” the 2019 Fresh Produce & Floral Council (FPFC) Dinner Dance. A highlight of the evening will be the Council’s formal introduction of the 2019 Board of Directors.
