Atalanta is excited to announce the launch of new products at the Summer Fancy Food Show. Celebrity Sheep is introducing two flavors: Celebrity Sheep Fig Chili Logs and Celebrity Sheep Yuzu Citrus Logs, both in a four-ounce format. Mifroma is debuting their AOP Gruyere in slices for added ease.

Swiss Gruyere Wins Second Consecutive World Champion Cheese Title

A gruyere from Switzerland has been named the 2022 World Champion Cheese for the second consecutive time and third overall. The cheese, called Gourmino Le Gruyère AOP is made by Michael Spycher of Mountain Dairy Fritzenhaus in Bern, Switzerland for Gourmino AG.

Judge Rules “Gruyere” is a Common Food Name and Not a Term Exclusive to Europe

A judicial ruling has determined that “gruyere” is a generic style of cheese that can come from anywhere. The decision reaffirms that all cheesemakers, not just those in France or Switzerland, can continue to create and market cheese under this common name.
