The Humane Society of the United States has released its Protein Sustainability Scorecard, taking a close look at the food service industry in the U.S. and progress toward offering climate-friendly, plant-based foods.

Sodexo, a global food services and facilities management leader, is expanding its collaboration with the Humane Society of the United States with new initiatives aimed at tackling climate change and reducing the company’s carbon footprint. The new initiatives focus on increasing plant-based menu options that will end up on Sodexo menus at hundreds of universities across the United States. This is part of Sodexo’s overall strategy to reduce their carbon emissions 34% by 2025.

Fresh Ideas Launches Historic Plant-based Commitment

Fresh Ideas Food Service Management recently released a new, expansive line of entirely plant-based menu concepts, known as Mindful Fork, in consultation with the Humane Society of the United States. The launch of Mindful Fork coincided with Fresh Ideas’ landmark announcement to eventually provide one plant-based entrée for every meat-based option.

The Humane Society of the United States and HHS Bring Sustainable Menu Options to People Across the Country

The Humane Society of the United States and Hospital Housekeeping Systems have partnered together to establish a plant-based, sustainable menu program called Sustainabowls, which will be featured as part of HHS’ Global Bowls menu.
