FishWise and Hy-Vee Continue Groundbreaking Tuna Fishing Vessel Transparency Efforts

For the second year in a row, Hy-Vee Inc. and FishWise, a non-profit sustainable seafood consultancy, have completed a tuna fishing vessel transparency activity. Tuna are harvested globally, often in remote ocean regions where illegal fishing and human and labor rights abuses can occur without detection. The fishing vessel transparency activity is designed to shed light on the complexity of the company’s fresh, frozen, and canned tuna assortments.

Hy-Vee to Host Its Quarterly Best of Local Brands Summit May 10

Hy-Vee, Inc. announces that it will host its next quarterly Best of Local Brands Summit in May to expand and enhance the product offerings at its more than 285 retail stores in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Since the Best of Local Brands summits began in early 2021, more than 125 new brands have been selected and are available to Hy-Vee customers.

Hy-Vee Chairman and CEO Randy Edeker has named Jeremy Gosch as CEO and president of Hy-Vee’s retail operations as well as vice chairman of Hy-Vee’s Board of Directors. Gosch will lead alongside Aaron Wiese, who will serve as CEO and president of Hy-Vee’s subsidiaries and supply chain as well as vice chairman of Hy-Vee’s Board of Directors. Gosch’s new leadership role will take effect Oct. 1, 2022.
