International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) has responded to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) announced “Food System Transformation Framework” highlighting the aspects most likely to impact fresh produce and floral.

The global fresh produce industries unite in a call to national and regional public authorities and multilateral bodies, such as WTO, FAO, UNCTAD, OECD and others, to respond with urgency to the current significant hikes of costs for logistics, inputs such as fertilizers, packaging materials and energy, and an overall shortage of labour which is jeopardizing the economic viability of the fresh produce industry globally.

The International Fresh Produce Association coordinated a School Foodservice Partner X-Change to connect produce grower-shippers with leading K-12 school menu planners from 18 of the largest U.S. school districts and early childcare education providers.

With policy and regulatory advocacy as one of its foundational strategic priorities, the International Fresh Produce Association is pleased to announce it has enhanced its already strong government relations practice with the addition of Rebeckah Freeman Adcock as its new Vice President of U.S. Government Relations.
