Mississippi Department of Marine Resources hosting public meeting for Oyster Management and Recovery Strategic Plan

The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources is hosting a public meeting to discuss the document, “Oyster Management and Recovery Strategic Plan.” The meeting will be held Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021, from 5:30 until 7 p.m. in the auditorium of the Bolton Building, located at 1141 Bayview Ave. in Biloxi.

MDMR: Shrimp Season to Close West of Gulfport Ship Channel, Additional Waters South of Intracoastal Waterway Remain Open

Officials with the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources (MDMR) announced that beginning Saturday, May 1, 2021, all waters south of the Intracoastal Waterway and west of the Gulfport Ship Channel in Mississippi territorial waters are closed to shrimping.
