Hass Avocado Board Partners with AltaMed Health Services to Spread Education About the Nutrition Benefits of Avocados during National Diabetes Month
For National Diabetes Month this November, the Hass Avocado Board (HAB) is joining forces with AltaMed Health Services, the nation’s largest independent federally qualified community health center, to improve nutritional education and access to glucose testing for the early detection and possible prevention of type 2 diabetes, a condition that impairs the body’s ability to regulate sugar.
