John Connelly discussed with the NFI Board of Directors his intention to retire from NFI in February 2023.  He has served as NFI President since February 2003.

The Future Leaders Class of 2021 graduated from the program on the eve of the 2022 Global Seafood Market Conference in Orlando. This year’s hybrid session saw participants interact with experts in production, sales, and marketing virtually, as well as, lobby in-person in Washington, D.C.

For Marty Mitchell, the science of food safety was a profession and a passion.  He was a dedicated expert in fields ranging from microbiology to chemical analysis.  However, he was more than just a technician.  He was an entrepreneur, building a local business of 20 employees to a global operation of 2,000 associates.
