USApple Takes Up Call to End Costly Tariffs

The U.S. Apple Association today joined more than 40 agriculture and food groups to call for the elimination or reduction of U.S. tariffs being imposed on other countries that in turn are harming U.S. agriculture through retaliatory tariffs. In a letter sent to U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai, the groups said America’s agriculture communities are suffering with higher fuel, machinery and input costs due to the pandemic, supply chain disruptions, inflation and the war on Ukraine, and compounded by decreased market access.

USApple Awards Apples4Ed Grants to Four In-Need Schools

The U.S. Apple Association has awarded Apples4Education grants to four schools from around the nation for the 2022-23 school year. Each $4,000 grant will provide supplemental student nutrition and expose students to a wider variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as teach students about healthy eating.

USApple Announces 2022 NextGen Apple Fellowship Class

The U.S. Apple Association today announced the 2022 class of its new emerging leader program, the NextGen Apple Fellowship. Six fellows from across the country were chosen to participate in the 2022 class. The program will focus on providing fellows annually with career development, one-on-one mentoring, hands-on advocacy experience, community service work and many other leadership opportunities.
