Urban School Food Alliance Announces Standard on Responsible Antibiotic-Use in Turkey

The Urban School Food Alliance, a membership organization of 15 of the largest school districts in the United States that together serve nearly 4 million students daily, announced today that it is issuing a standard for responsible antibiotic use in turkey products to get healthier food for students and fight antibiotic resistance.

Urban School Food Alliance celebrates Fresh Attitude Week from May 6-10, 2019. In collaboration with the French Department of Agriculture and in partnership with Interfel (French Inter-Branch Association of Fresh Fruits and Vegetables which created Fresh Attitude Week), Fresh Attitude Week has become an annual event in Alliance districts in America, along with schools in France and Hungary to raise awareness about the consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables in schools.
