Richmond, VA – Electric Control Manufacturing Company announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to transfer manufacturing of high speed bun and roll imprinters to AMF Bakery Systems, the globally-recognized manufacturer of high speed bakery equipment.
In business for over 45 years, Roy Bryan is the inventor of the Dough Imprinter, and is widely known among bakers around the world that supply fast food restaurants. Along with standard imprinter designs for hamburger buns, Roy has also developed unique bun designs such as ‘soccer balls’ to help customers stand out as the best sandwich and burger makers.
“It was 1967 when I was approached by an up and coming franchise chain to help develop a new look for their sandwiches,” said Roy Bryan, Engineer and Owner of Electric Control Manufacturing Company. “That chain is now well established serving their fresh imprinted sandwich rolls in over 3,600 locations.”
According to Bruce Campbell, AMF Vice President of Dough Processing Technology, “the dough imprinter technology that Roy brings to AMF is a very logical extension of our product offering. For many years customers have been buying dough imprinters and integrating them into the existing AMF Pan-O-Mat or Accupan systems. Now bun producers can get the dough imprinter straight from AMF as an after-market kit upgrade or as an optional feature on a new Accupan. AMF plans to continue innovation while enhancing the dough imprinter technology to meet the expectations of the worldwide bun and roll market. Distribution of the Imprinter product line from AMF is expected to begin in early 2013.
