A Chicago Heights bread bakery is planning a $7 million expansion that will create up to 40 full-time jobs.
The city council Monday voted to support a county tax incentive for the Pita Pan factory, 401 E. Joe Orr Road.
The tax incentive would cut 50 percent off property taxes on the expanded portion of the facility for about 10 years.
This would allow Pita Pan to nearly triple the size of its 51,000-square-foot factory.
