Just in time for the Jewish high holidays, Pratzel's Eastgate Bakery has begun selling some of its kosher baked goods at Straub's Clayton store, 8282 Forsyth Boulevard, said Straub's bakery buyer Mike Vernon.
The Town and Country store, 13414 Clayton Road, will begin to carry Pratzel's products in the near future, he said.
The Clayton store's selection always will include bagels and the popular paradise cake, he said. The vastly expanded holiday offerings include challah, foigels (round holiday breads with or without raisins), honey cake, rye breads, stollens and chocolate-covered upside-down cupcakes.
The Mason store also has begun making kosher-style cold deli platters, said deli category specialist Julie Oliva. "We're just in the beginning stages, and we hope to develop a full program," she said. For more information on the platters or to place an order, call Robert Protzel at 314-725-2121, ext. 34.
