A moment of silence, niche ice cream lovers: Van and Bon Bon has gone bye-bye for good.
And so have all of Anderson Erickson Dairy's 18 other flavors of ice cream. They have disappeared from supermarket freezer cases, too.
The Des Moines dairy has discontinued selling its own brand of ice cream in pursuit of "other opportunities."
The final cartons bearing the red AE logo have been picked up from stores, and they will not be seen again.
