Organic Valley Pasture Butter Wins At US Championship Cheese Contest

La Farge, WI – Organic Valley, the nation’s largest cooperative of organic farmers and a leading organic brand, today announced it was awarded first place in the butter category at the U.S. Championship Cheese Contest on March 17 and 18 in Milwaukee, Wis. The U.S. Championship Cheese Contest is the largest cheese, butter and yogurt contest in the United States, receiving a record-breaking 1,885 entries from 28 states in 2015. Organic Valley Pasture Butter received 99.35 out of a possible 100 points.

A cultured and lightly salted butter, Organic Valley Pasture Butter is made from the cream of cows that graze fresh, organic pastures only during the height of pasture season—May through September. Made in limited quantities, Pasture Butter is churned in small batches and vat-cultured for a rich 84 percent fat content. Organic Valley Pasture Butter contains elevated levels of beneficial essential fatty acids—conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), omega-3 and omega-6—all of which essential fatty acids that come from pasture grasses in their prime. Like all Organic Valley products, Organic Valley Pasture Butter is produced without antibiotics, synthetic hormones, toxic pesticides or GMOs.
