Michigan Floral Association Presents Three 'Certified Florist' Scholarships Sponsored By Floracraft

Haslett, MI  – The Michigan Floral Association Scholarship committee is excited to announce three full Certified Florist (CF) program scholarships have been awarded for 2014 through the generous sponsorship provided by the FloraCraft Corporation in Ludington, Michigan. 

The MFA created the Certified Florist program to establish a recognizable nationwide standard of quality in the retail floral industry. Those wishing to be certified must study industry techniques on basic design, care and handling, product identification, customer relations and sales, delivery, marketing, accounting, gluing and lighting/display. Those who pass a written and hands-on exam with 80% or better then earn the right to be called a Certified Florist.

Crittenden, Executive Vice President of the Michigan Floral Association.  “Through their generous contributions to our scholarship program we are able to provide our industry with educated shop owners and employees.”
