The Naumes Family, a 100 year orchard family has been donating fruit to those in need for generations. The family donated more than 10 million pounds of fresh fruit to Feeding America over the last seven years.
On October 20, 2009, the family launched www.naumesfruitgifts.com a fresh fruit gift idea centered on the commitment that for every fresh fruit gift sold the family would donate, pound for pound, an equal amount of fruit to food banks to feed hungry families. The Donate Fruit commitment is the first fresh fruit gifting program of its kind to reach out to feed those in need.
